The Dread Plains

Between the northern taiga ruled by totem clans and the warm southern lands of river kingdoms lies the Dread Plains. 

A dry, expansive land of tall grasses and low, treeless hills. The overbearing sky hangs over this stretched and disparate place, the thunder of a petty god rolls perpetually in the distance. 

Thieves and vagabonds tread these lands finding goods to sell to the hungry bazaar in the southeast or to carve out a swathe of land for themselves.

                                                                                                                                                     

Dread Plains is a small hex crawl for use in old school RPG systems. It includes some brief info about denizens and a table of encounters. It can be used in nearly any old school adjacent game (Old School Essentials, Cairn, White Hack, Vanilla Game) with some holes being filled in by the referee and players.
